Yesterday morning I rooted a Barnes and Noble Color Nook so I could load Cyanogenmod and turn it into an Android tablet. As per my previous experiences, the actual rooting and installation went very smoothly. But that is not to say that I didn’t hit any snags. In fact, an installation process that should have taken under 10 minutes instead took over 3 hours. The problem, in a nutshell, was that the micro sd card I was using was bad. But one does not throw away data storage willy nilly. No, I checked it on 3 different computers and fouled an installation before finally trying a different card.
At about the 3rd hour, when my blood sugar was at its nadir and my brain truly fried, I found myself singing Peter Pan’s signature song, “I Won’t Grow Up” in my head. Except in my version I was singing “I won’t give up.” After all was said and done, I wrote some more words to my version of the song.
